ISSeG Training Session: Improving Site Security

There will be an Integrated Site Security for Grids (ISSeG) Training Session held on the afternoon of September 4 (Tuesday).

There will be no additional charge for attending the session, however interest in the session should be indicated on the CHEP registration form.

Summary

Site security is important to us all, but with so much else to do how can it be made easier to implement?

Based on practical implementations of the Integrated Site Security (ISS) concept at two large European Grid sites, ISS can help you improve site security independent of site size, VO type or your role within the site.

This session will outline the two approaches to ISS (full scale and light) and the set of general recommendations that have been identified for all sites.  The emphasis is on practical advise and how to link technical, administrative and training issues so that the overall security of a site is improved.

The session will not be solely focused on technical issues so users and managers / administrators will be able to take away some advice for their sites. While some policy issues will be discussed, it will not dominate the session.  The emphasis will, be based on how you adapt the recommendations (based on real experience) to your site.
