The proceedings of CHEP07 will be published in the open access Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS), published by IOP Publishing. All papers will be free to read and download immediately upon publication.
Papers published in JPCS will be hosted in IOP Publishing's electronic journals system and will be fully citable – in addition, citations to your paper will also be tracked online.
PAPERS (Deadline for submissions and paper length)
NOTE TO ALL AUTHORS: There has been an extension to the deadline for submissions. The deadline is now FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2007
Papers should be prepared using the provided templates: LaTeX2E (preferred) or
MS Word.
There is a 10 page maximum for submitted contributions (this includes Poster presentations) and 20 page maximum for plenary contributions.
Preparing your paper
Journal of Physics: Conference Series has a PDF-only workflow and uses author-supplied PDFs for all
online and print publication. Consequently, you only need to submit a PDF file of your paper, prepared to the JPCS
specification. Instructions on preparing your paper, including PDF guidelines, Microsoft Word and LaTeX2e templates are available
on the home page of the CHEP07 submission web site (see below) but are also included here for convenience:
How to submit online
You should submit your paper online using the CHEP07 Editorial Manager™ conference submission and peer review system. The URL for submissions is http://chep07.edmgr.com but you will need to register before submitting your paper.
Note: brief tutorials covering registration and paper submission are available for download (PDFs) from the CHEP07 Editorial Manager home page
Registering with Editorial Manager
Registering with Editorial Manager takes just a few minutes. Once you have registered, you will receive an e-mail with your username and password. You can then login as an Author.
Once you have submitted your PDF file Editorial Manager will process a copy of it to prepare a form suitable for peer review. You will also receive an e-mail asking you to approve the processed copy of your PDF. You must check this PDF before your paper can be forwarded to the proceedings editors for peer review.
What files can you can submit online?
You can upload the following items as part of your submission, either individually or in a single ZIP file:
- The PDF file of your paper: prepared according to the journal guidelines.
- Any multimedia files you wish to publish online: JPCS encourages authors to submit multimedia files to enhance
the online versions of published research articles. Multimedia guidelines are included with the Word and LaTeX2e templates.
- A signed Assignment of Copyright Form: The Assignment of Copyright Form is included in the Word and LaTeX2e templates. You will be able to submit this online (as a PDF) by scanning the printed and signed form. Or you can mail a hard copy to the CHEP07 conference organisers.
