Visa RequirementsPlease check with this Government of Canada page which lists all countries whose citizens require a visa to visit. CurrencyThe currency in Canada is the Canadian dollar. The current exchange rate (August 2007) is $1 Cdn = $0.94 US. Many local stores, restaurants and hotels will accept US currency, at varying exchange rates. There are a few currency exchange outlets near the Conference Centre. BanksBanks in Victoria are generally open Monday-Thursday, 10 am to 4 pm, and Friday 10 am to 6 pm. A few banks are open on Saturday, but none on Sunday. ShopsShops and stores in Victoria are generally open seven days a week. There is plenty of shopping close to the Victoria Conference Centre, and a large shopping mall, The Bay Centre, is only 5 minutes walk away. |
